Newsletter and Email Marketing:

I use EmailOctopus, an email marketing platform operated by Three Hearts Digital Ltd, based in London and registered with the UK's Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). EmailOctopus is fully GDPR compliant. You can review their own Privacy Policy here .

Your data is securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in Ireland (EU), ensuring it remains within the European Economic Area (EEA) and is protected by EU data protection regulations.

EmailOctopus may track open rates and click-throughs to help me understand engagement and improve the quality of future content. This tracking is standard practice and does not involve profiling or automated decision-making.


Google AdSense and Advertising (Future):

This blog may display third-party advertisements in the future using Google AdSense. If and when ads go live, Google and its partners may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to deliver ads that are relevant to your interests based on your visits to this and other websites.

  • Ads may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your preferences and location.

Payments and Stripe:

Payments for digital products (such as quiz packs or custom quizzes) are securely processed via Stripe, a trusted third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase, you may be asked to provide personal and financial information (such as name, email address, card number, and billing details). This data is processed securely by Stripe and is never stored on or accessible through this blog or its servers.

Transaction details (such as payment date, email address, and item purchased) may be stored by me for record-keeping, fulfilment, tax reporting, and customer support purposes. This data is kept securely and only as long as necessary for these legitimate purposes.


Google reCAPTCHA:

To protect this blog from spam and abuse, the comments and newsletter signup form use Google reCAPTCHA. This service helps determine whether a user is a real person and not an automated program (bot). It works by collecting certain technical data such as mouse movements, IP address, and time spent on the page.
